The SCM Class F 520 / Class F 410 is a rugged, high-precision surface planer (jointer) designed to deliver professional-quality finishes with exceptional stability and ergonomic operation. With working widths of 520 mm (F 520) or 410 mm (F 410), both models are equipped with a 120 mm cutter block and four knives for powerful, efficient material removal. Their connecting-rod drive system ensures lifetime precision and whisper-quiet operation by maintaining fluid movement and preventing table deformation. A concave/convex device enables perfect face-jointing, eliminating any visible seam between components, while the integrated Smart Lifter safety guard provides automatic, multi-directional protection (vertical, horizontal, and tilted). For enhanced finishing, the Class F machines support the optional Xylent spiral-knife cutterhead with three rows of reversible knives, delivering exceptional surface smoothness, reduced noise, and longer tool life
